Great place !! Super relaxing, would highly recommend. Gorgeous building, and the massage at the end was perfect. The lady at the reception was very friendly and helpful. If we had more time we would go back again.
Among what was included: The traditional 30 min exfoliating and lathering ritual was very good. The lathering is very pleasant. Full-body clay mask: We only had the face, not the whole body! Historical semi-private Turkish bath: We didn't have access, as it closes at 8 p.m. !!!! 30-minute massage: Very good, but very poorly timed. Coffee or tea: 3 of us didn't get any! Towel and slippers: disposable slippers would be more appreciated than plastic flip-flops.

A very warm welcome and attentive staff. We had an exceptional time as a family. The bubble bath application is sensational. I really recommend this establishment

Booking over Headout was easy. The Hamam itself is located in a hotel. Service and treatments were really good.
Built in the 15th century by Fatih Sultan Mehmed, the Acemoglu Hammam was once part of the Janissaries’ world (yes, the legendary Ottoman warriors) and later became a cherished legacy of composer Ismail Dede Efendi’s family. Now beautifully restored next to a hotel, it invites you to soak in history and savor a touch of Ottoman charm.
Duration of visit: Around 1 to 2 hours, depending on the package you choose and whether you opt for additional massages.
Best time to visit: The hammam’s cozy warmth is especially inviting during the cooler months, from October to April. That said, it’s a year-round delight, offering a refreshing escape. If you are visiting during the peak season (June to August), be sure to book your tickets in advance. Mid-morning and early afternoon are ideal with fewer crowds.

Hagia Sophia ticketsAcemoglu Hammam tickets typically include access to the public, semi-private, or private bath areas, complete with essentials like towels, slippers, soap, and a kese (scrubbing glove). Most packages feature clay masks, foam massages, body scrubs, and optional 30-minute massages for a fully rejuvenating experience.
Acemoglu offers mixed-gender areas but ensures privacy through semi-private sections (with half-door enclosures) and fully private rooms, making it suitable for families, couples, and groups. All massage services are provided by skilled female therapists.
Absolutely! For an added touch of luxury, you can request a private 30-minute massage or explore upgraded bathing options, subject to availability.
Unfortunately, the historic design of the Acemoglu Hammam makes it inaccessible for visitors in wheelchairs. However, strollers are allowed and can be folded and stored at the reception.
Photography is generally discouraged in the bathing areas, but you are welcome to snap pictures near the entrance, in the lounge, or by the stairs.
Children are welcome in the semi-private and private areas of Acemoglu Hammam, but it’s generally recommended to avoid bringing those aged 12 and under, as the heat and steam may be uncomfortable for younger ones.
